Hey this is Jack. I'm a sophomore at BHS. I have English class with Mrs.Santos and Ms. Pettigrew. It"s a pretty cool even though we are all still sleeping because it is first period (haha). My favorite color is blue. I love sports and ps4. My favorite thing about English Class is starting this blogging. I think its going to be fun.

Henirk Ibsen was born in Skien Norway. He was born on march 20th, 1828. He was exiled to Italy, then he went to Germany. One of his most famous plays was called A Doll"s House. There were 5 children in his family. He had to stop school when 15 because his family was poor. Ibsen went back to Norway to the university of Christania. He wrote plays called Brand and another called Peer Gynt. His play caused a lot of debates because it was about a mother and she wasn't happy. Another famous play was Hedda Gabler. Ibsen had a couple of strokes and made him too sick to write. He also wrote many poems. He died on May 23rd 1906.

Maybe the title of the play A Doll's House, is something that the character Nora, is thinking about when she was young and happy because she is not happy in her marriage with here husband. Nora borrowed some money from someone to help her husband. She is trying payback the loan while the husband doesn't know. The symbols are the Christmas tree, which is something nice to look at. New Years Day is a symbol for starting something new in real life.
